Lattice
Deforms geometry based on how you deforms reference geometry. Lattice node takes the edits you apply to a reference geometry and apply the same deformation to the input geometry.
The deformation is described with two reference meshes (the original and the deformed one). Both meshes should share the same topology and vertex order. It is also recommended that the meshes have similar position and orientation in space.
Example
Lattice node can be used to deform cloth model according to how a body model was deformed.
- red:
original cloth model
- green:
original body model
- blue:
deformed body model
- yellow:
deformed cloth model (result of Lattice deformer)
Inputs
- geometry to deform
Geometry
Input geometry to be edited with deformation- source deformation
Geometry
reference model without deformation- target deformation
Geometry
reference model edited with deformation
Output
Geometry
Deformed input geometry
Parameters
- neighbours:
defines how many vertices of reference model are involved to compute a deformation of resulting vertex. The bigger the number of neighbours the smoother the resulting deformation.
