Manual Installation for Windows

In some cases, ZWrap installer for Windows can’t automatically detect your ZBrush® installation directory or requires administrator rights for the installation process. But it’s still possible to install ZWrap using a zip-archive.

Note

Since version 2023.12.4 it’s possible to specify ZBrush® directory to install into through command line interface. More information can be found in Silent Installation section.

Installation Steps

1. Close ZBrush®

2. Download the ZWrap archive and extract the Zip file

3. Copy the contents of the folder ZWrap_Install/ (ZWrap.zsc and the ZWrap/ folder) to:

   • For ZBrush® 2026 and newer: C:/Program Files/Maxon ZBrush 2026/ZData/ZPlugs64/

   • For older: C:/Program Files/Pixologic/ZBrush 2019/ZStartup/ZPlugs64/

4. (Optional) Copy the contents of the folder ZWrap_Tools/ (*.ZTL models) to:

   • For ZBrush® 2026 and newer: C:/Program Files/Maxon ZBrush 2026/Lightbox/Tools/ZWrap/

   • For older: C:/Program Files/Pixologic/ZBrush 2019/ZTools/ZWrap/

5. Launch ZBrush®

6. ZWrap will be located in the ZPlugins tab at the top [ ZPlugin:ZWrap ]
